OpenThrottleFor motorcyclists
The motorcycle app that does way more than track your rides
Track rides, plan routes, fill your garage, join clubs, run live group rides, and host events — all in one app, on iPhone and Android.
Tap any feature below to see what it does.
Motorcycle ride tracking & maintenance
- Records your route, distance, moving time, elevation, and speed.
- Pick your bike and terrain (street, dirt, mixed, track, single-track) before you roll out.
- With your phone mounted, captures max lean angle (left & right), cornering G's, and braking/acceleration G's.
- Combine multi-day rides into a Trip — one tour with an aggregate map, combined stats, a photo gallery, and a day-by-day breakdown.
- Choose who sees each ride — Public, Friends (mutuals), or Private — and which clubs it shows up in.
- If your phone closes mid-ride, it keeps a backup and offers to recover the ride next time you open the app.
- Add bikes with make, model, year, and a photo.
- Tracks mileage and engine hours automatically as you ride.
- Log oil changes, tires, chain service, and more — with date, mileage, cost, and notes.
- Set maintenance reminders and get nudged when service is due by miles or hours.
- Share your live location with trusted safety contacts on solo rides or long tours.
- They get a link to follow along in real time.
- Auto-share on every ride, or flip it on per-ride.
- Rack up stats and badges as you ride.
- Milestones for distance, ride counts, and other achievements.
- Everything shows up on your profile.
Clubs, group rides & friends
- Find riders from Suggested Riders near you, search by name, or follow from a feed post.
- Follow each other to become mutual friends — unlocking Friends-only visibility and direct messaging.
- Riders you follow show up in your Feed, where you can wave (our version of a like) or comment.
- Start or join a group ride with any riders — not just club members — with a join code or QR scan, then see everyone's live position on the map in real time.
- Join riding communities — local crews, brand clubs, dirt gangs — or start your own in a couple taps.
- Each club has its own feed, members, and stats.
- Events — bike nights, meetups, charity rides — with a date, a tappable location, and an RSVP list.
- Group Rides — schedule a ride, attach a route, and invite people. Join with a code or QR scan, then see everyone's live position on the map.
- Challenges — ride goals and leaderboards to keep the group active between meetups.
- Your home for organized events — a single-day poker run or charity ride, a brand meetup, or a multi-day rally.
- Browse Rallies, each tagged Upcoming, Happening Now, or Past.
- A full schedule — talks, trainings, socials, meetups, and group rides — grouped day by day.
- Official routes to view, ride, or save, plus a vendor list and attendee RSVPs.
- Open rallies are visible to all; registered ones unlock with a code from your confirmation.
- Hosting one? Set it up in minutes — dates, cover photo, registration, routes (GPX or saved), vendors, and a day-by-day schedule.
- Annual events recur as yearly “editions,” and organizers can build & manage rallies from a computer at openthrottle.app.
Route planning, maps & heatmaps
- Explore the map browser, then build your own route — drop points and shape the path.

- Tap “Ride This Route” and it overlays on your tracking map so you can follow along turn by turn.
- Includes a map layer for ethanol-free gas stations.
- Turn on the heatmap layer to see every road you've ridden drawn on the map.
- Your personal heatmap shows your own coverage — and the gaps left to fill.
- The global heatmap combines the whole community's rides, so you can find the popular roads near you.
